Birthdays

Yesterday was my sisters 18th birthday. She is finally a "woman" which is a little bit of a scary thought. I couldn't even reach her because she just took off for Carleton College in Minnesota as a FRESHMAN and decided that she'd leave her phone charger, so the battery went dead 3 days in and ofcourse no one could contact her on her birthday. Way to go, I called her atleast a dozen times.

I can't really complain too much because two years ago on my birthday, I did not have my phone either due to "water damage." This so called water damage came from myself and a few friends trying to get myself the Green Bay road sign which sits just off of 460 East of Longwood. Unfortunately for me, trying to get the road sign was unsuccessful, but my phone dropped out of my pocket and after 2 weeks of no rain it chose to rain on the night that I left my phone there. Finding it only 15 hours after the fact, I found it partially submerged in water only to see that it was still working! It wasn't until another 2 days later that it decided to shut itself down. When I finally did get a new phone I ended up with 17 voicemails many of which were from my angry sister that she couldn't reach me on my birthday... but oh well. My father still thinks that from some other sort of water accident... I think we'll keep it that way too.

Today is my roommates birthday and he finally turns 20 which means that he is now the same age as the rest of his roommates. We'll shortly be heading out to his birthday dinner at Applebee's which is our usual place to go for dinners of any sort. Anyways, I have an article for the Rotunda that I need to finish and then I am watching Greek before we go to the birthday dinner.
